Bundesliga suspension: How it could impact Borussia Dortmund

All of world football has been suspended for the remainder of the month of March and here we will take a look at how it will impact Borussia Dortmund.

Even if football is just suspended for a month, it will still have both immediate and long term impacts on Bundesliga clubs, including Borussia Dortmund. At this point though it is seeming like the one month ban is going to continue to drag on longer and longer. With the CDC recommending cancelling all events with 50 or more people for the next 8 weeks in the US, it’s likely only going to be worse in Europe.

The ramifications of a suspended or even cancelled season would be massive, especially financially for the smaller clubs in the Bundesliga and the other leagues. As worrying as that is for clubs, the health of populations around the world is much more important than sport. We are in an unprecedented time in sport, never before have the majority of sports been shut down worldwide. Here’s a look at how Borussia Dortmund will be impacted by the suspension of football due to Coronavirus.
