Bundesliga suspension: How it could impact Borussia Dortmund

Have we seen the last of Sancho at Borussia Dortmund?

With the risk of the Bundesliga not continuing and potentially even being fully cancelled it would bring Dortmund to the summer and a decision will need to be made on Sancho’s future. Although it is widely believed that Sancho will be on the move this summer, it seems as though Dortmund aren’t conceding yet. Watze recently commented on the rumors stating that Sancho’s representatives have said nothing with regards to leaving and he believes Sancho could stay beyond the summer.

Another factor that could play into the Sancho decision could be a massive loss of revenue from this season. But with the club now in a good position financially, it’s highly unlikely that it will come to that. But if Dortmund can manage to convince Sancho to stay for another season, it would be a massive boost for the club. Regardless of the up front financial benefit, Sancho could bring them such longer term benefit by bringing another season of world class impact to the Borussia Dortmund squad.

Dortmund will be primed for another title run next season and could even be considered in the running for the Champions League with another season of Sancho.
