Incredible comeback against Inter Milan
With Borussia Dortmund trailing 2-0 at half time of their UEFA Champions League group stage tie against Inter Milan, their hopes of qualifying for the knockout rounds seemed to be all but over. But they came out of the break in inspired form, and turned the game on its head with three second half goals to win 3-2.
Achraf Hakimi began the comeback by turning Mario Götze’s cross into the net. Julian Brandt brought Borussia Dortmund level with a lovely strike from a very tight angle. Hakimi then sent the Westfalenstadion crowd into raptures by completing the comeback for his side.
It was a truly special Champions League performance by Borussia Dortmund, and one that will not be forgotten any time soon.
