Borussia Dortmund vs Schalke – Bundesliga 2014/2015

This one is more monumental for what it means to Borussia Dortmund and it’s fans than the achievements on the field. Yes, it was a great 3-0 win for Dortmund against rivals Schalke, but there was a lot more going on that season that made it more special than a normal Derby win.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marco Reus all scored in the second half to give the Black and Yellows a famous win over their local rivals.

Borussia Dortmund were in the midst of a tumultuous year that saw them last in the Bundesliga half-way through the season. It was 2 weeks before this game when Dortmund were in 16th place that Marco Reus signed a four year contract extension that removed his reported summer release clause.
