32 Appearances, 8 Clean Sheets, 11 Assists

There were several high performing full-backs in the Bundesliga this season, but Union Berlin captain and veteran Christopher Trimmel just gets the nod for us. The 33 year old was a mainstay as captain, making a total of 32 appearances for the newly promoted side. He assisted eleven of the 41 goals Union Berlin scored this season, and was also reliable and consistent defensively.

Trimmel helped his side keep eight clean sheets, and averaged 2.2 tackles and 1.6 interceptions per game. Offensively, he averaged 2.1 key passes per game and was a reliable presence playing in a back four and a back five. His excellent set-piece delivery made Union Berlin a constant threat from corners and free-kicks

Other notable mentions include Achraf Hakimi, Lucas Klostermann and Benjamin Pavard.
