Omer Toprak

Omer Toprak like Wolf is definitely a Bundesliga quality player. Unfortunately he has been very injured for the majority of his loan spell with Werder Bremen, which has limited his impact on the field. Although Toprak is a good player, he likely doesn’t have a future with Dortmund due to his age, injury concerns along with his lower ceiling. Dortmund have enough quality that they can bring along a couple of younger players with more potential for their squad roles and don’t need to keep players like Toprak for the occasional appearance.

Jeremy Toljan

Jeremy Toljan was loaned out to Sassuolo this year, his second loan spell in a row. That in itself points to the lack of future with Dortmund for Toljan, on top of the fact that he just doesn’t possess the quality for a club like Dortmund.

He has done a decent job in Italy, and can definitely find a role in a top 5 league, but it will likely be on a bit lower quality side than Dortmund. Toljan will most likely be looking for a permanent move away this summer. Sassuolo have the option to sign him, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to afford it now.
