Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has taken the world by storm with his incredible performances this season, and the 19 year old is determined to continue his run.

After scoring 28 goals for RB Salzburg in the first half of the season, Erling Haaland rejected interest from the likes of Manchester United and Juventus to sign for Borussia Dortmund in January. The Norwegian international says he had a good feeling about the club right from the start, and feels he made the right decision by signing for the club.

"“I had a very good feeling about Dortmund from the first moment, and that’s why I’m here,” Haaland said in an interview with FourFourTwo. “I liked the whole club, the history, the people in the club and how they run it. We decided Dortmund was the best option. And it is.”"

Haaland made a dream start to life at Dortmund, coming off the bench and scoring a hat-trick on his debut against Augsburg, helping his side turn around a two goal deficit.

"“I could never have expected how things started. The manager just told me to go on and make a difference… and I did.”"

Haaland has continued his impressive scoring streak since, and has found the net 12 times in just 11 appearances for the Black and Yellows. He says he feels at home at Borussia Dortmund, and wants to help the club win the UEFA Champions League.

"“We’re capable of everything. The start here has been absolutely fantastic, and the club have helped me a lot – it’s not easy to come to a new place in the middle of the season. I already feel at home”"

Asked about his ridiculous goalscoring record, Haaland responded, “I think I’m addicted… I think it’s a good addiction. It’s what I wanted to do when I was older. It’s what I do. I always knew I’d be a good player, but things have been going fast. I like that speed!”

Haaland has earned praise not only for his goalscoring, but also for his determination to succeed, his passion and his confidence on and off the pitch. His mentality and goalscoring ability have seen him earn comparisons with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Haaland has nothing but praise for the veteran striker.

"“I like his mentality and how he sees different things. I think I’ve always had that confidence, too – that’s just me. I also like how he moves from one club to another, in another country – which isn’t easy, but he always comes in and just bangs in goals, from the first second. I liked seeing that.”"

Haaland was also asked about his infamous rap video which he made in 2016. The video has over 3.5 million views on YouTube and Haaland has revealed that his Dortmund teammates have played it in the dressing room. “I think my football skills are quite a lot better, but my rap skills? They’re not too bad. I think they (Dortmund teammates) liked it (the video).”
