Borussia Dortmund not fully convinced about Milot Rashica

Borussia Dortmund have been linked with Milot Rashica a fair amount this year but once again he seems to be a topic at BVB.

With the lack of actual football being played it seems like there’s lots of transfer rumors swirling about right now. Borussia Dortmund are no different on that front, regularly being linked a number of players. The biggest question facing Dortmund will be whether star man Jadon Sancho will be staying or leaving this summer.

With the possibility of Sancho leaving definitely being real, there are several players being touted as his potential replacement. Werder Bremen star Milot Rashica has been one player who has been linked pretty heavily over the past year.

Rashica is one of the lone bright spots on a very underwhelming Bremen team.  Through 24 games he has scored 7 of the teams 27 goals throughout the entire season thus far. It’s not an exceptional goal tally but when you look at his goal share it’s quite impressive.

Rashica is definitely capable of taking the next step in his career, whether that be in the Bundesliga or abroad, he definitely has the quality to play a role at Dortmund. Adding his electric pace to Dortmund’s lethal counter attack would be quite the sight.

Sport1 confirmed Rashica is a topic at Dortmund but not one that everyone is sold on 100%. Although he is definitely an interesting option he isn’t viewed as a sure fire replacement, especially for a player like Sancho. On top of the uncertainty surrounding the player at BVB there is also the uncertainty surrounding the transfer market as a whole this summer.

With the significant loss of revenue every club will face, it will be interesting to see how this summer plays out. It’s possible all of the Sancho replacement discussions could be irrelevant come the summer time if other top clubs aren’t able to meet Dortmund’s valuation.
