Borussia Dortmund are reportedly ready to offer Jadon Sancho a pay rise which would see him become the club’s highest paid player.

Jadon Sancho’s exemplary displays over the last two years have seen him attract interest from a number of big clubs in England and Spain. Borussia Dortmund are keen to keep their star man at the club for at least another season, and are reportedly willing to give him a salary increase in order to tempt him to stay.

According to German newspaper BILD, the Black and Yellows are ready to offer Sancho a new contract which would see him earn 10 million euros per year, making him the club’s highest paid player alongside captain Marco Reus.

Sancho still has over two years remaining on his Borussia Dortmund contract, which expires at the end of the 2021/22 season. He is being heavily linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion, with Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly the favourites for his signature. But the BVB bosses are hopeful that their high asking price will put off potential suitors because of the financial uncertainty brought by the coronavirus pandemic.

Borussia Dortmund have set an asking price of 130 million euros for the 20 year old England international, if he does decide to leave this summer.
