Borussia Dortmund along with the rest of the Bundesliga are eagerly waiting the return to action next weekend. After two months off there is a lot of anticipation to see the Bundesliga’s best back on the pitch. Although it won’t quite be the same, as play resumes without any supporters in the stadium for safety reasons. Regardless, it is exciting to finally have sports back on TV to watch.

Here we will take a look at the fixtures that are in store for Borussia Dortmund this month.

05/16 – Borussia Dortmund vs Schalke

Borussia Dortmund get back underway in the Bundesliga with the Revierderby on May 16th. What would usually be an electric high profile game will likely be a shade of it’s usual self without fans. Let’s be real, the fan rivalry and passion is what makes the Revierderby what it is. Hopefully the players are able to bring some of the intensity that will be lost without the fans on their end.

Dortmund will be without Marco Reus for this one and recent reports have both Axel Witsel and Emre Can as doubtful as both of them picked up injuries in training. Missing both of them would be devastating for Dortmund and they would be left without any of their first choice defensive midfielders.

Regardless of the atmosphere or injuries Dortmund will be looking to take all three points in this game after Schalke held them to a 0-0 draw earlier this season.
