The title race

Before the coronavirus pandemic brought everything to a halt, the Bundesliga title race was developing into a hotly contested battle with four teams still in the running to lift the meisterschale. Six points separate the Bundesliga top four, and with nine games to go, this title race could go down to the wire, just as it did last season.

Going into the restart, Bayern Munich are top with a four point lead over second placed Borussia Dortmund. But the Bavarians still have to negotiate tricky trips to Leverkusen and Dortmund, as well as a home clash against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The Black and Yellows travel to third placed RB Leipzig on the penultimate matchday of the season in a fixture that could have serious implications on both sides’ title hopes.

Borussia Mönchengladbach currently occupy fourth place. They may be outsiders, but have the potential to ruin the party for the teams above them.
