Thorgan Hazard (8.5/10)

Hazard was originally supposed to start on the bench, but came into the side after Gio Reyna injured himself in the warm-up. He put in another hard working shift for his side, and was rewarded with a goal and an assist. The Belgian international whipped in a superb cross for Haaland’s opener, before smashing in Dortmund’s third goal just after the break.

Julian Brandt (9.5/10)

Brandt ran the show for Borussia Dortmund from his attacking midfield role. He was directly or indirectly involved in all four goals, getting two assists, and playing some exquisite forward passes in the process. It was a truly world class performance by Brandt. Schalke had absolutely no idea on how to stop him.

Erling Haaland (8.5/10)

It was another clinical display by the ruthless Haaland, who added yet another goal and assist to his incredible tally. He was lively all game and never stopped running. He made some really good runs in behind the Schalke defence, but the passes towards him weren’t always accurate.
