Eintracht Frankfurt 1-3 Borussia Mönchengladbach

It was a good weekend to be a full-back in the Bundesliga, as Raphael Guerreiro, Benjamin Pavard and Ramy Bensebaini all scored, while the likes of Achraf Hakimi, Alphonso Davies, Kevin Mbabu and Ridle Baku also impressed for their respective sides.

Bensebaini was Borussia Mönchengladbach’s best performer, as he scored and assisted in his side’s 3-1 win away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Frenchman has been one of this season’s breakout stars, and showed again just how good he is, when he set up Marcus Thuram for Gladbach’s second goal. He collected a long ball from midfield a brilliant first touch off his chest on the edge of the box, ran rings past a hapless Almamy Touré, before playing in an accurate low cross, which was turned into the net by Marcus Thuram, giving Gladbach a two goal cushion after just seven minutes.

Bensebaini then put in a solid defensive shift, making five ball recoveries and three clearances, before slotting home the penalty to make it 3-0 for Gladbach.
