Benjamin Pavard
Union Berlin 0-2 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich were far from their usual best, but still got over the line to get three hard-fought points against a determined Union Berlin side. A number of Bayern players had good games, but right-back Benjamin Pavard gets our nod for his impressive display from right-back.
Up against the dangerous, Marius Bülter, Pavard put in a hard-working defensive shift at right-back, making three tackles, three interceptions and one clearance. The Frenchman did not do much wrong all game, and was also a threat going forward.
Pavard then effectively sealed the win for Bayern in the 82nd minute with an outstanding header off a Joshua Kimmich corner.
An overall excellent display by the World Cup winner, who is enjoying a solid season for the Bavarian side.
