Manuel Gulde
RB Leipzig 1-1 SC Freiburg
Manuel Gulde was Freiburg’s star man as they frustrated Bundesliga title-chasers RB Leipzig to earn a 1-1 draw. The defender gave Freiburg a shock lead in the first half, scoring his first goal in nearly two years with the slightest of touches on Vincenzo Grifo’s corner.
Gulde then continued to be a thorn in Leipzig’s fortunes as he defended brilliantly to ensure that the Red Bulls were left frustrated on their return to the Bundesliga.
The 29 year old put in a solid defensive shift, winning four aerial duels, making four clearances, three tackles and one interception. Gulde also played two key passes, and made four accurate long balls, as Freiburg nearly got all three points away to Leipzig.
