Saturday’s win over Eintracht Frankfurt helped Borussia Mönchengladbach move up to third place in the league table. The Foals are six points behind leaders Bayern Munich, but have a relatively easier run-in compared to the top two.
Although their primary motive will be to finish in the top four, Gladbach could well aim higher and take advantage if Bayern and Dortmund fail to get the right results.
This weekend’s clash against Bayer Leverkusen is a must-win for Marco Rose’s side. But things then get slightly easier for Gladbach before their trip to Bayern Munich on June 13. They face another tricky game at home to Wolfsburg on the following weekend, before finishing their season with games against relegation contenders Paderborn and Hertha Berlin.
