While Bayer Leverkusen are not necessarily in the race to win the Bundesliga title, their performances could play a key role in determining where the Meisterschale ends up come the end of the season.

Peter Bosz’ side hit the ground running with a dominant win over Werder Bremen on Monday. And with Kai Havertz leading the charge, Bayer Leverkusen look to be a seriously dangerous side especially going forward.

Leverkusen have a tricky set of fixtures, with trips to Borussia Mönchengladbach, Freiburg and Schalke, as well as a home game against Bayern Munich still to come. If they manage to get positive results in all four of those games, they could yet overtake the teams above them.
