Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund: Five players to watch

Borussia Dortmund travel to Wolfsburg this weekend in a must-win game ahead of next week’s Der Klassiker.

Having comfortably dispatched Schalke 04 last weekend, Borussia Dortmund will be on a high going into this game. But with the Bayern clash coming up on Tuesday, it will be important for the players to not get distracted and pay full attention to Wolfsburg.

Anything other than a win on Saturday could leave them with a mountain to climb in the title race, especially if Bayern Munich beat Eintracht Frankfurt in their clash on the same day.

Borussia Dortmund have a good recent record against Wolfsburg with four wins in their last four meetings. But Oliver Glasner’s side are unbeaten in their last seven games and are currently sixth in the Bundesliga standings. Wolfsburg certainly have enough quality in their squad to hurt Dortmund this weekend.

Both teams have some very talented players in their ranks. Here we look at five players who could call game on Saturday.
