Achraf Hakimi (8/10)

Hakimi sealed the win for Borussia Dortmund with a well taken finish on the counter attack. The Moroccan international was hardly tested defensively, and was always a willing runner going forward. Although his final pass wasn’t always the most accurate.

Still, he played a game high two key passes and scored an important goal to make it 2-0 for Dortmund at a time when Wolfsburg were getting closer to finding an equaliser.

Raphael Guerreiro (8/10)

Guerreiro put in another impressive shift at left wing-back, as he made it three goals in two games since the return of the Bundesliga. The finish for his goal may have been straight-forward, but he showed great anticipation to make the run and get into the position to find the net.

Thomas Delaney (7/10)

Another solid midfield display by the Dane, who made some really important interceptions and won the majority of his duels today. He did not put a foot wrong defensively and did the job he was asked to do.

As usual, Delaney played a lot of sideways and backwards passes. He had a couple of good chances to release the forward players in on goal in the first half, but he wasn’t able to pick them out. He started to tire in the second half and was replaced by Leonardo Balerdi.

Mahmoud Dahoud (7/10)

Dahoud showed today just how good he can be with his performance today. He wasn’t afraid to drop into deeper positions and was always looking to get involved in the team’s attacking play. He looked lively and showed his great passing range.

He wasn’t able to control the game as Lucien Favre would have liked in the second half. But his pass to Sancho before the second goal was excellent, and showed his great determination.
