Defense: Lukasz Piszczek, Mats Hummels, Manuel Akanji

With Dan-Axel Zagadou out with injury, there isn’t likely be much rotation in the back three. Lukasz Piszczek and Manuel Akanji escaped the Wolfsburg game without injury and will surely be in the starting lineup. Mats Hummels was taken off at half-time with an achilles injury, but is expected to be fit to start against his former club.

If Hummels isn’t able to start Emre Can will likely be the one to drop into central defense after his impressive showing there against Wolfsburg. Regardless of how capable Can is, losing Hummels would drop Dortmund’s chances in the game significantly.
