Lukasz Piszczek (7.5/10)

Without a doubt Borussia Dortmund’s best player today. Piszczek once again showed that age is just a word, as he led the way with a solid defensive display. He made some very important challenges and interceptions for his side, including an incredible back-heel clearance off the goal-line in the first half.

Mats Hummels (7/10)

Hummels won his personal battle with Robert Lewandowski, keeping the Polish marksman quiet for the majority of the game. He made some really crucial tackles, blocks and interceptions for his side.

Manuel Akanji (5.5/10)

Akanji had a few erroneous moments, especially during the team’s build-up play. He wasted a lot of long balls in possession, and should have arguably done a better job of closing down Kimmich before his goal. Other than that, he was rather solid in defence.
