Player Ratings: Borussia Dortmund 0-1 Bayern Munich; Title bid suffers massive blow
By Tushar Bahl
Achraf Hakimi (5/10)
Hakimi had a few defensive lapses here and there, but none that proved to be too costly for the side. He worked really hard offensively, but his impact was limited due to the presence of Alphonso Davies.
Raphael Guerreiro (6.5/10)
The wing-backs were positioned slightly deeper to deal with Bayern’s attacking threat down the wing. Guerreiro fared better than Hakimi going forward, and played some really dangerous passes and crosses to his teammates. He also defended well for the majority of the game, and won the majority of his duels.
Thomas Delaney (6/10)
Delaney had a good first half, and largely kept Bayern at bay. The Dane fought for every ball, and wasn’t afraid to get into duels. He probably should have done a slightly better job of clearing the ball before Kimmich’s goal. But other than that it was an impressive display by Delaney, who was surprisingly taken off at half-time.
Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)
There was certainly no lack the desire or work rate with Dahoud, but he did not always end up making the right decision with the ball at his feet in the final third of the pitch. His distribution was solid, he played some impressive passes and did some good defensive work, but also failed to spot a couple of really good passing opportunities.
