Borussia Dortmund suffered disappointment at the hands of Bayern Munich once again losing 1-0 at the Westfalenstadion, effectively ending their title bid.

In any tussle with immense title implications, the game is always going to be a tense affair. Borussia Dortmund’s outing against Bayern Munich was no different as they hosted the Bavarians in a game that would set the course for the rest of the season, for both teams.

The expectations were high for Dortmund, having been second best for several seasons running, and that expectation demanded that Die Schwarzgelben produce a win at home; a win that would bring them within a point of Bayern.

That was unfortunately not to be, while Dortmund started out strong in the first half, a sequence of events including  a decisive chip-goal and an un-reviewed penalty, coupled with a lack of fighting edge in the closing stages would prove to be their undoing.

What was meant to bring them within touching distance of the Rekordmeister now sees them 7 points adrift of their rivals. Lets take a look at the key talking points from this game.
