Reports in Germany say that Jadon Sancho wants to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, and a contract extension is not an option for the 20 year old.
According to information by Spox and Goal, Jadon Sancho wants to make his return to England in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Englishman has been heavily linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund in recent months, with Premier League sides Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool said to be interested in signing him.
Borussia Dortmund are holding out for a fee in the range of 130 million euros, and are unwilling to sell him for an amount below his value. It remains to be seen if any of the interested clubs will be able to afford him this summer, with the financial losses being suffered all around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was reported previously that Sancho may not leave until 2021 as a result of the financial uncertainty.
Sancho’s current contract with Borussia Dortmund does not expire until the end of the 2021/22 season. And the report adds that signing an extension with the Black and Yellows is currently not an option for the 20 year old.
Sancho has been one of Borussia Dortmund’s top performers this season, with 17 goals and 17 assists to his name in 38 appearances in all competitions.
He has been struggling with a muscle injury in recent weeks, and hasn’t been able to make much of an impact since the Bundesliga restart. Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Delaney said earlier this week that Sancho may well be feeling the pressure of all the transfer speculation.
