Preview: Borussia Dortmund look to get back on track vs Paderborn

Borussia Dortmund return to Bundesliga action this weekend, as they face a tricky trip to basement side SC Paderborn.

Fresh off a devastating defeat to Bayern Munich which all but ended their title hopes, Borussia Dortmund will be looking to get back to winning ways against Bundesliga’s bottom club Paderborn. Although Bayern now have one hand on the Bundesliga title, Dortmund still have a lot to play for in the remaining six games.
With Leipzig, Gladbach and Leverkusen all closing in, Lucien Favre’s side cannot afford to let up, or they will find themselves playing Europa League football next season.

Paderborn are unbeaten since the Bundesliga restart, but their last win came all the way back in January. They are rooted to the bottom of the table, 8 points behind 16th placed Fortuna Düsseldorf. But there are no easy games at this stage of the season, and Borussia Dortmund cannot afford to take Steffen Baumgart’s side lightly.
Paderborn are fighting for their survival in the Bundesliga, and they certainly won’t go down easy. They have some quality players who can hurt the Black and Yellows, as we saw in the reverse fixture.
