Lukasz Piszczek (7/10)

Another excellent performance by Piszczek, who hardly put a foot wrong all game. He was solid as ever defensively, making four tackles, four interceptions and two clearances. He also played some delightful long balls from the back, and helped out immensely in the build up play, completing 96% of his passes.

Mats Hummels (6.5/10)

Like Piszczek, Hummels was defensively strong and made some important tackles, as well as interceptions for the team. He was also heavily involved in the build-up play, finding a Dortmund teammate with 11 of his 14 long balls. His performance was only blighted by the yellow card he received in the second half (his fifth of the season in the Bundesliga), which means that he will be suspended for next weekend’s game against Hertha Berlin.

Manuel Akanji (6/10)

Akanji looked a bit shaky against the lively Antwi-Adjei in the first half, as Paderborn often targeted his side to attack. He was also sloppy with his passing on a number of occasions. But he improved as the game went on, and was largely solid after the break.
