Jadon Sancho returns with a bang

Jadon Sancho has had a rough return to the Bundesliga since the COVID lay off. Coming back off a calf injury, Sancho seemingly struggled with fitness enough to keep him out of the starting lineup for the first three games and when he did see the field he was hardly his usual self. He seemed to be lacking his explosiveness and wasn’t able to bring his usual creative flair.

Apparently all it took was a hair cut and beard trim for Sancho get back to his best, with Paderborn the unfortunate victims of his return to form.

Sancho was unstoppable on Sunday, notching his first professional hattrick to lead his side to victory. On top of that Sancho also set a new Bundesliga record as the youngest player to reach the 30 goal mark, beating Kai Havertz’s previous record.

The best news for Borussia Dortmund though was the fact that Sancho was able to play the full 90 minutes. Moving forward he should be back in the starting lineup with regularity.
