Borussia Dortmund earn comprehensive win in a relatively tight game

To someone who may not have watched the game, the scoreline would suggest that Borussia Dortmund dominated and thrashed Paderborn. But that just wasn’t the case, as up until the 72nd minute, the game was too close to call.

Paderborn had their share of the chances in both halves, and kept Borussia Dortmund at bay rather successfully before their opener in the 54th minute. And when they scored the penalty in the 72nd minute, it looked like we could be in for a nervy end to the game.

But the Black and Yellows ran riot late on, taking advantage of tired legs and scoring four goals in the last 15 minutes to earn a comprehensive win over the Bundesliga’s bottom club.

The scoreline may not necessarily reflect how tight the match was, but certainly shows how lethal Borussia Dortmund can be if they are on their game.
