Saturday, June 27th – Home against Hoffenheim

Borussia Dortmund will end their season with a home game against Hoffenheim. It could well be that Dortmund don’t have a Champions League spot secured by this time with how tight the table is at the moment.

It would be great going into the final match day with confirmation that it was secure but Dortmund will likely need to continue to perform to the final whistle of the season, especially if Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach continue their excellent form.

Hoffenheim were one of the teams that got the better of Dortmund in the first half of the season, and it was yet another lead thrown away. Dortmund went up 1-0 early on but failed to cement their position in the game and allowed Hoffenheim to regroup. Hoffenheim would end up scoring two late goals to take all three points.

Lucien Favre will be hoping for a much better showing this time around, in what could be his final game in charge of Borussia Dortmund.
