Team News

The biggest news heading into Saturday for Borussia Dortmund fans is that they will be without Mats Hummels in the heart of defence. He picked up his 5th yellow card against Paderborn and will miss this game through suspension. Missing Hummels is a massive blow for Dortmund, although he doesn’t have Sancho’s flash or Haaland’s goals, his leadership and ability to control the back line is crucial to Dortmund’s success.

On top of the Hummels suspension Erling Haaland is questionable depending on his fitness and return from the knee injury he picked up against Bayern. Dortmund will also be without Marco Reus, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Mo Dahoud and likely Nico Schulz.

Hertha Berlin have several players doubtful for this match, some of them very key contributors. Hertha will likely be without Marius Wolf, Matheus Cunha, Marvin Plattenhardt, Luca Netz and Thomas Kraft.

Expected Lineups

Borussia Dortmund: Burki – Piszczek, Can, Akanji – Hakimi, Witsel, Delaney, Guerreiro – Sancho, Hazard, Brandt

Hertha Berlin: Jarstein – Pekarik, Boyata, Torunarigha, Mittelstaedt – Grujic, Skjelbred – Lukebakio, Darida, Dilrosun – Ibisevic
