Borussia Dortmund player ratings from narrow win over Hertha Berlin: Emre Can stars on both ends of the pitch
By Tushar Bahl
Achraf Hakimi (6.5/10)
Hakimi had a couple of sloppy giveaways early on, but recovered well to put on a largely solid defensive performance. He looked really dangerous at times going forward, but once again lacked the consistency to truly hurt the Hertha Berlin backline.
Thomas Delaney (6.5/10)
Delaney again showed great resolve defensively, making several important tackles for his side. He won the majority of his duels, and wasn’t afraid of doing the dirty work. But his lack of creativity going forward was, as ever, quite visible.
Axel Witsel (6.5/10)
Making his first start since the Bundesliga restart, Witsel looked assured and solid for the majority of the game. He completed 96% of his passes, and also made some important defensive recoveries (12). He did start to tire as the game went on, but all in all, it was an encouraging return to the starting line-up for the Belgian.
Raphael Guerreiro (6.5/10)
Guerreiro was once again heavily involved, and was always looking to make things happen down the left flank. He had a couple of sloppy moments defensively, but none that proved to be too problematic. The Portuguese international will feel unlucky not to have picked up an assist, after Sancho missed an excellent chance from his pass late on.
