Borussia Dortmund made it a lot harder for themselves than it needed to be, but ultimately took down Hertha Berlin in a 1-0 win on Saturday.

Borussia Dortmund all but sealed their spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League with their 1-0 win on Saturday, that put them 7 points ahead of 5th placed Bayer Leverkusen, with only four games to go. With the title all but out of reach, securing the Champions League spot is massive for Dortmund and with two more wins from their remaining 4 games, they will have it in the bag.

Hertha Berlin is always a tough game for Dortmund, their stingy defence always seems to nullify Dortmund’s potent attack. Regardless, Dortmund were able to pull out a win and secure the three points on the back of an Emre Can goal in the second half.

Here we will take a look at the key takeaways from Borussia Dortmund’s win.
