Borussia Dortmund transfer rumours: Sancho wants Premier League move, Bürki contract agreement soon
By Tushar Bahl
The latest round of Borussia Dortmund rumours involve an update on Roman Bürki’s contract situation, and Jadon Sancho’s desire for a move to the Premier League.
Jadon Sancho wants summer PL move
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent months. SportBILD claim in this week’s edition that it is ‘no secret’ that Sancho wants to move to the Premier League, preferably this summer. Manchester United are leading the race for his signature, but do not want to pay the money being demanded by Borussia Dortmund.
The BVB bosses are looking for a fee in the range of 130 million euros, and have no desire to reduce their asking price for the 20 year old. A transfer will depend on whether or not the two parties can find an agreement on the fee in the coming months.
Bürki and Borussia Dortmund close to new deal
According to Funke Sport, Borussia Dortmund are set to tie goalkeeper Roman Bürki to a new contract. They claim that there is growing confidence that the two parties will be able to reach an agreement soon.
Bürki joined Borussia Dortmund in 2015, and has been the Black and Yellows’ first choice goalkeeper ever since. With his contract due to expire in 2021, it was recently reported that Premier League side Chelsea are interested in signing him.
But now it looks like the 29 year old will be staying at the Signal Iduna Park for the foreseeable future. Bürki has made 35 appearances in all competitions so far this season, keeping 13 clean sheets in the process.
