Gio Reyna

Gio Reyna is far and away the most developed of Borussia Dortmund’s prospects. He has earned a lot of trust this year from Favre with his impressive cameos off the bench. Unfortunately up to this point it has only been cameos coming off the bench, he has yet to get his first Bundesliga start. Reyna was in line for his first start against Schalke, but unfortunately he picked up an injury in the warm up.

Reyna should definitely get a chance to make his first start in the next four games. With two games coming up in four days, Dortmund will surely need to rotate as they are a bit thin in attackers at the moment.

Marco Reus is still recovering from injury, and Erling Haaland has missed the past two games through injury as well. Reyna is already first off the bench, and deserves to see one or more starts in the games to come. Every minute he gets this year just gives him more experience and confidence heading into next season where he will want to further develop.
