Julian Brandt (5/10)

Brandt often looked to drop deep to get on the ball, leaving his side with a man short up front. He had a couple of decent chances in the first half, and probably should have done better to bury them. He lost the ball far too often (21 times), and was too slow to react on most occasions.

Jadon Sancho (5.5/10)

Sancho looked unplayable at times in the first half, and caused the Fortuna Düsseldorf defenders quite a few problems. He should have had an assist in the 17th minute, but Hakimi failed to beat the goalkeeper. After the break, the Englishman looked like a completely different player and wasn’t able to make any impact on the game.

Thorgan Hazard (5/10)

Hazard once again showed some great work-rate, especially in the first half. But what seemed to be lacking was the quality on his final pass/ball.
