Defense: Lukasz Piszczek, Mats Hummels, Emre Can

Lucien Favre has resisted the temptation to revert to a back four, going with the same back three that started against Mainz.

Lukasz Piszczek will play as the right centre back. Although Piszczek had a torrid time against Mainz on Wednesday, he is still a very solid defender and more than capable going forward.

With only Hummels, Can and Balerdi to choose from for the other two centre backs, we will see Can drop deeper to pair up with the former Bayern defender. Both players will be looking to improve on their performance against Mainz, as they go up against a dangerous Leipzig attack.
