Borussia Dortmund have reportedly given Jadon Sancho a deadline if he wants to secure a move away from the Signal Iduna Park.
Sancho’s future has been the subject of a lot of speculation, with a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly interested in signing him. Borussia Dortmund have set an asking price of 130 million euros, which is proving to be a sticking point for interested clubs, due to the financial difficulties brought by the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Funke Sport, Borussia Dortmund have set a deadline for Sancho, and if he wants to leave, there must be clarity on his future before the start of the new season. Currently, September 11 and 18 are being touted as potential dates for the start of the new Bundesliga season. The transfer window is expected to be open from 15 July to 05 October. If no clubs pay the asking price before September, Sancho will stay with the Black and Yellows next season.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund continue to remain in discussions with Birmingham City for the signing of highly rated midfielder Jude Bellingham. Dortmund are very keen on signing the 17 year old, as long as the transfer fee remains in the region of 20 million euros, Funke Sport add Bellingham has already agreed to join Borussia Dortmund, having given his commitment to the club before the coronavirus lockdown.
Funke Sport also claim that after the signing of Bellingham, there are unlikely to be any more incomings at Borussia Dortmund this summer. Unless, of course, a club meets their asking price for Jadon Sancho.
