Jude Bellingham is on the verge of joining Borussia Dortmund, and he will likely be the team’s final signing of the summer transfer window.

According to Kicker, some of Europe’s biggest clubs were interested in signing the highly rated Bellingham, including Juventus, Bayern Munich, Ajax, Manchester United and Chelsea, but the Birmingham City midfielder is on his way to Borussia Dortmund. The transfer is close to being completed, and Bellingham is expected to cost the club 25 million euros.

The 17 year old has already made 39 appearances in all competitions for Birmingham City in the second division of English football, and will be part of the Borussia Dortmund first team next season despite his young age. Reports claimed last week that he will sign a five year deal with his new club.

Kicker add that Borussia Dortmund are planning to use Bellingham in the middle of the park, as a box to box midfielder. Bellingham has also been used as a winger by Birmingham City this season, but Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc sees him as a “classic number eight, strong in both defence and attack.”

Bellingham will become Borussia Dortmund’s second signing of the summer transfer window after Thomas Meunier. And Kicker claim that the Black and Yellows’ squad planning for next season will be complete after his transfer.

There will be no more new arrivals at the Signal Iduna Park this summer, and the situation will only change if Manchester United decide to meet Dortmund’s asking price of 120 million euros for Jadon Sancho.
