Thomas Delaney (5.5/10)

Delaney’s rating is more down to his injury and missing the majority of the season more than his play. The Dane has been a reliable player for Dortmund during his tenure as long as you aren’t expecting more than you should from him.

He is a very solid defensive presence that can chip in offensively once in a while. He isn’t someone that should be relied on to carry play for prolonged spells, but in a tough game that is going to be a battle in midfield, there aren’t many players on the Dortmund squad you would take over him. It will be interesting to see what his future holds with the arrival of Jude Bellingham, but Dortmund should look to keep Delaney for another season.

Mahmoud Dahoud (5.5/10)

Mahmoud Dahoud’s story at Borussia Dortmund since his move from Gladbach has been consistently inconsistent. We have seen glimpses of the special player we got used to seeing at Gladbach over his time at Dortmund, but it has been few and far between considered the potential he has.

He will have games where he absolutely blows your mind and you have yourself questioning where he has been all season and then the very next game he will be invisible or outright disappointing.

To his credit, he did really well in the absence of Witsel and Can after the restart. But then he suffered a season ending injury, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him following the arrival of Jude Bellingham.

He could easily be one of the players on the move this season but everything out of his camp so far points to Dahoud staying with Dortmund at least another season.
