Borussia Dortmund had a decent Bundesliga season in 2019/20, finishing as runners up with 69 points in 34 games.

Borussia Dortmund did finish second to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this season but it was still a season that saw a lot of progress being made. Not only did they secure UEFA Champions League qualification for the 2020/21 season but they also set a club record in terms of goals, finding the net 84 times in the Bundesliga alone.

There were certainly more positives than negatives, as Lucien Favre’s men showed that they are capable of fighting for the title, despite the rather poor end to the season.

Borussia Dortmund’s attack was absolutely lethal this season, netting 84 times over 34 games, setting a new club record for goals in a Bundesliga season. The addition of Erling Haaland to Jadon Sancho’s insane season took Dortmund’s offense to a new level.
