Jadon Sancho (9/10)

Jadon Sancho followed up his breakout season with a monster year, spearheading the Borussia Dortmund attack to their highest single season goal tally in club history. He went to another level this season, going from a very promising talent to a world class attacker. Sancho put up some insane stats this season, with 17 goals and 17 assists in 32 Bundesliga games.

That’s the best attacking season for a Dortmund player in a long time. Sancho even had more goal involvements than Aubameyang’s 31 goal season that saw him win the Golden Boot award in the Bundesliga.

There have been a lot of rumors surrounding Sancho’s future, with a potential move to the Premier League constantly being discussed. However, with the significant loss of revenue due to COVID, meeting Borussia Dortmund’s asking price is going to be very hard. Because of that, we could see Sancho back with the Black and Yellows next season.

Marco Reus (7/10)

Marco Reus had another season cut short by injuries, only playing 19 games due to a muscle injury that ruled him out the majority of the second half of the season. This injury could play a factor at the beginning of next season as well, but hopefully not. Before his injury woes, Reus was his usual quality self as he tallied 11 goals and 6 assists in those 19 games.

With Reus missing a significant amount of time, it was a reminder just how much of a presence Dortmund are missing when he is out. Dortmund still possess a very potent attack without Reus but it just isn’t the same without their captain. His ability to score goals and create chances for his teammates remains crucial for Dortmund.
