Erling Haaland (8.5/10)

Erling Haaland was only here for half a season, but he made a massive, instant impact from the moment he arrived. He netted a hat-trick in his first game and just never stopped scoring after that. Haaland only played 15 Bundesliga games with Dortmund but still managed to rack up 13 goals and 3 assists in that time.

Haaland brings a lot more than just his goals to the table, his work ethic is impeccable and having him for a full season next year could make a massive difference for Dortmund.

Not only was Haaland’s time at Dortmund phenomenal, he was on fire at Salzburg as well. He finished the year with 44 goals and 10 assists in 40 games. Those are otherworldly stats for a 19 year old striker. Dortmund haven’t had a natural striker like Haaland since Robert Lewandowski, if Sancho stays alongside Haaland next season we could see some fireworks.

Thorgan Hazard (7.5/10)

Thorgan Hazard quietly had a very solid first season with Borussia Dortmund. he doesn’t quite have the flash of Sancho or Haaland but he was a very consistent contributor to the Dortmund offence.

Hazard had 7 goals and 13 assists in 33 games with the Black and Yellows, showing not only his offensive ability but his durability. Hazard avoided injury throughout the season, unlike nearly everyone else in the Dortmund offense. Hazard is never going to be a superstar for this Dortmund squad but he is definitely good enough to be an important player with the ability to produce quality moments almost every weekend.
