Borussia Dortmund release pre-season and fixture schedule for August

Borussia Dortmund have announced the dates for the start of their training camp along with the six pre-season games ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Borussia Dortmund’s training camp will kick off on August 3rd as the BVB players return to Dortmund for testing and initial training before heading to Bad Ragaz. On August 10th, Dortmund will head to Bad Ragaz, Switzerland to start their official training camp where they will stay until August 17th. During that time Dortmund will play pre-season games as they look to get going prior to the new season.

Borussia Dortmund’s August fixture list is below:

August 12th, opponent SC Altach – Friendly in Altach

August 16th, opponent TBD – Friendly in Altach

August 22nd, opponent MSV Duisburg – DFB Pokal in Duisburg

August 22nd, opponent Feyenoord – Friendly in Dortmund

August 28th, opponent SC Paderborn – Friendly in Dortmund

August 28th, opponent VfL Bochum – Friendly in Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund kick off the pre-season with two friendly games in Altach, the first coming against SC Altach and the second against a team yet to be confirmed. August 12th will see new signings Thomas Meunier and Jude Bellingham get their first action in the Dortmund jersey.

After that, Dortmund will wrap up training and head back to Germany prior to a friendly match against DFB Pokal first round opponents MSV Duisburg on the 22nd. Dortmund will also have a second friendly against Feyenoord that same day, so we will see a split squad. We will see another split squad game as Dortmund play twice on the 28th in their final preparation before the 2020/21 season.

The first competitive game of the season will take place between September 11-14, as Borussia Dortmund make the short trip to third division side FSV Duisberg for the first round of the DFB Pokal.
