Kicker say that there is currently no contact between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

According to Kicker, despite reports to the contrary, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United have not been in communication with each other for weeks. Ruhr Nachrichten earlier reported that Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United are in tough behind the scenes negotiations for the transfer of Jadon Sancho. One of the sticking points, they claim, is the transfer fee, which the BVB bosses will not budge on. The other is the structure of the payment.

Ruhr Nachrichten add that while payments in instalments are quite common for big transfers, Borussia Dortmund will want a large chunk of the transfer fee to be paid upfront. Dortmund also agreed to let Barcelona pay in instalments when Ousmane Dembele was sold in 2017. However, they were paid an initial fee of 105 million euros.

While Kicker claim that “Those who have not been communicating with each other for weeks can hardly be in a position to discuss payment arrangements with one another.”

RN also say that due to these tough negotiations, it remains to be seen now whether Borussia Dortmund’s deadline of August 10 can be met. Sporting director Michael Zorc has already been looking for replacements in preparation for Sancho’s departure. So ‘it does not seem impossible’ that Sancho could leave even after returning from the pre-season training camp.

On the other hand, Kicker say that Borussia Dortmund have no desire of relaxing their August 10 deadline for Sancho. If he goes to the Bad Ragaz training camp, he will stay with Dortmund for the upcoming season.

And then there’s BILD, who report that the winger has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United, and will earn an annual salary of 17.6 million euros, nearly three times the wages he is currently earning at Borussia Dortmund. The tabloid adds that the Black and Yellows have yet to receive an official bid for the Englishman.

Sancho’s future has been subject to a lot of speculation in recent months, and as we get closer to the end of the saga, the rumours show no signs of slowing down and it still remains to be seen what will happen next.
