Three Borussia Dortmund youngsters looking to make most of pre-season opportunity

Nnamdi Collins
Collins is another Borussia Dortmund youngster who has impressed coaches and management alike during his fledgling career. The highly rated defender signed a new contract with the club in May, rejecting interest from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.
Now the towering centre-back is training with the first team squad, and earning some valuable experience which will only help him in his career ahead. Collins, who started his career as a forward, has solid technical skills and the ability to play out of the back. He is also a robust defender, physically strong, not afraid to go into duels, and lighting quick.
Collins spent last season as a regular for the Borussia Dortmund U17s. Still only 16, he is now expected to be a regular for the U-19s under Mike Tullberg this season. Although with Borussia Dortmund now having only three natural centre backs in their ranks, a couple of injuries in the squad could potentially lead to a first team call-up for the Düsseldorf born defender.
Collins’ goal is to play in front of the Yellow Wall at some point, and if he continues his excellent development, there is no reason why he cannot achieve that feat in the coming years.
