Hans Joachim Watzke has confirmed that there has been zero contact between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United over the sale of Jadon Sancho.

Jadon Sancho’s future has been the subject of constant speculation in recent weeks, with media outlets in Germany and England providing contrasting reports. Now the Borussia Dortmund bosses have spoken out about the Englishman’s future, and the rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim Watzke has said that there has so far been no contact between the two clubs, not directly or through intermediaries, which was claimed by BILD earlier today.

"“So far, there has been no contact between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United in terms of Sancho,” Watzke told Süddeutsche Zeitung. Also not indirectly or through alleged intermediaries.”"

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has said that the club expect Sancho to stay at the Signal Iduna Park for the coming season.

"“I expect Jadon to go to the training camp on Monday and play with us for the coming season.”"

Reports claimed yesterday that Manchester United have no desire of meeting the Black and Yellows’ valuation of 120 million euros for the 20 year old. But Borussia Dortmund have no intentions of lowering their asking price, and have already communicated that to Sancho and his agent Emeka Obasi. And Hans Joachim Watzke does not expect any difficulties with Jadon Sancho if the winger does not get his move this summer.

"“There has never been an offer for Jadon,” said Watzke, “but we are simply stating what we should be paid. I don’t expect any difficulties. Jadon has accepted that, he’s a very pleasant, fair guy.”"

Watzke and Zorc have also reiterated that there will be no discussions or negotiations regarding Jadon Sancho’s future after Der BVB leave for their training camp to Switzerland on August 10.

Süddeutsche Zeitung add that Sancho will probably stay with Borussia Dortmund as Manchester United cannot afford him. The BVB bosses think that it is impossible for Manchester United to meet their asking price for Sancho. But it is likely that Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will make a lower offer, which will be rejected. So the Premier League side can save face in the end.
