Sergio Gomez

Sergio Gomez could still have a future with Borussia Dortmund but it likely won’t be in the 2020/2021 season. Gomez is finishing up his loan with SD Huesca and currently on vacation before returning to Dortmund for pre-season. However, the most likely scenario it seems at this point will be another season long loan with Huesca. With them securing promotion to La Liga this could be very beneficial for both Dortmund and Gomez who would get to return to a club he has established himself in and get great opportunity in a strong league.

If Gomez does end up on loan there and has a good season he could be primed for a real role in the 2021/2022 season. He has extended his contract by another year and depending on how he does on loan, his future will likely be evaluated next summer.
