November 7th, 2020 – Home vs Bayern Munich

If Dortmund are going to stand any chance of beating Bayern to the title this season, this is an absolutely must win game. If you don’t at the minimum take 3 points from the two games against Bayern, there’s an incredibly low chance any team is going to make up those 6 points elsewhere outside those games. Especially as the home fixture, this is Dortmund’s real opportunity to take all three points.

March 6th, 2021 – Away vs Bayern Munich

Winning at home is much likelier than getting a win away at the Allianz Arena. Dortmund have been absolutely thrashed in the games against Bayern at the Allianz in recent years, and it is becoming the expectation after so many lopsided losses. As important as winning at home is against Bayern, it is equally important to show up in the away games.

Dortmund need to start putting some doubt in Bayern Munich’s mind when they face off in the Allianz, it can’t continue to be a guaranteed three points for the home team every game.
