Six fixtures that could define Borussia Dortmund’s 2020/21 season

January 9th, 2021 – Away vs Leipzig

The away game vs Leipzig which is always a tough test. Dortmund face Leipzig near the end of their schedules both halves of the season and the tougher away game will be up first in January. Dortmund are such a strong home team, that typically they will find a way to pick up points at home, whereas when they travel to Leipzig that will carry more importance.

With no winter break this season, starting the new calendar year well will be crucial to Dortmund’s title chances.

May 22, 2021 – Home vs Bayer Leverkusen

The final day of the season will see Borussia Dortmund host Peter Bosz’ Bayer Leverkusen in what could be a decisive game for both teams. Leverkusen will have ambitions to qualify for the Champions League next season and beating them certainly won’t be an easy task.
