Borussia Dortmund traveled back to Germany after concluding their training camp in Switzerland, as they head into their final preparations for the 20/21 season.

Borussia Dortmund are now back in Germany to kick off the next phase of their pre-season training. After a week in Bad Ragaz along with a couple pre-season games, there are some clear winners and losers from the preparations so far. Along with impressive performances there are some changes coming for Dortmund.

With Lukasz Piszczek stepping down as vice-captain, there will be an announcement coming shortly on his replacement. Barring a significant surprise it is highly likely that it will be former Captain, Mats Hummels, who will assume the role.

Typically this doesn’t carry a lot of significance but with Marco Reus’ health in question, the vice captain could be looking at an extended run with the armband. Hopefully it’s not a source of discussion for much longer and Dortmund can get their Captain back sooner rather than later.
